Dear colleagues,

Barbara Starfield has already proved in her works the importance of the primary health care, especially of the family medicine. States with well organised family medicine have lower health care costs, better health indicators and higher satisfaction of the patients. At this moment, regardless of the publicly expressed views and supporting World Health Organisation's documents, in some states, especially in Southeast European ones, there are big difficulties in establishing quality and well organised health care. Rural areas are especially affected because of many reasons and the one is certainly lack of systematic research in that area.

Therefore, EURIPA in cooperation with KoHOM has decided to organise a Research course „Implementing and publishing your rural research in biomedical journals“.

Another motive for organising this course is strengthening of the colleagues from the territory of Southeast Europe and preparing for active participation at World Rural Health Conference which will be held in April 2015 in Dubrovnik.

We are very honored that the director of the course will be Prof.dr. Christos Lionis, and
faculty will be prominent colleagues: Prof.dr. Panagiotakos, Prof.dr. Jean Pierre Jacquet,
Prof.dr. Ana Marušić, Assistent Prof. Dr. Davorka Vrdoljak, Dr. Mario Kopljar, Assistent
Prof. Dr. Maja Račić and Assistent Prof. Athina Tatsioni.

The course is organised as follows:

The course is organized in such a way that all registered attendees with paid fees receive a password to enter the literature database. It is crucial to study the literature before attending the course in order to dedicate more time to interactive lecturing. It would be beneficial for the attendees to bring with them ideas for writing papers, problems, questions...
